WWE: 5 women we want to see in the Hall of Fame in 2020
By Dorathy Gass
Lillian Garcia
While she may have never won a championship, Garcia could very well be considered the voice of the WWE from 1999 to 2016 (both on a part-time and full-time basis), announcing matches on Monday Night RAW, WWE Superstars, and pay-per-view events.
As a talented singer, Garcia also sang the “Star-Spangled Banner” before many WWE events, including a highly-inspiration one following the 9/11 attacks during the Sept. 13 edition of SmackDown that year, receiving a standing ovation after the number.
She also dove into some memorable storylines over the years, including her feud with Howard Finkel, Jillian Hall, and on-screen romance with Viscera.
Garcia was so much more to the WWE Universe than “just” a ring announcer, and has been truly embraced by the fans over the years. For these reasons and many more, most WWE audiences would agree that someday, even if it is not this year, Lillian Garcia definitely deserves a spot in WWE’s HOF.
Jazz
Despite being a two-time women’s title holder, with some fierce feuds against Trish Stratus, Lita, Ivory, Jacqueline, and Victoria, Jazz sometimes can fall under the radar when it comes to candidates for the WWE HOF, although she is plenty deserving.
She was an anti-Diva before the entire idea was cool, and dominated the division with her aggressive heel antics during the early 2000s.
She also holds the bragging rights around being the last female superstar to hold the Women’s Championship while under the WWF brand banner, and the first to hold it as the WWE Women’s Championship, as the entire transition unraveled under her reign.
With incredible matches against Trish Stratus, Lita, and Victoria, one has to wonder why she has yet to be called in for a WWE HOF induction.
