WWE WrestleMania 37: Way Way Too Early Full Card Prediction
WWE WrestleMania 37 will take place in Los Angeles, and we couldn’t help ourselves. Here are some way too early ‘Mania card predictions for 2021’s Show of Shows.
Just days ago, it was revealed that WWE WrestleMania 37 is “going Hollywood.” While it will technically take place in Inglewood, the announcement that WrestleMania is returning to the Los Angeles area for the first time since 2005 has already set the internet ablaze. WrestleMania 21, also referred to as “WrestleMania Goes Hollywood,” was an iconic event that to many signified a seismic shift in WWE‘s landscape.
The show of only nine matches, a paltry sum compared to the massive cards we’ve seen in recent years, WWE WrestleMania 21 featured Batista and John Cena capturing the World Heavyweight and WWE Championships, respectively. It also saw the inaugural Money in the Bank Ladder Match, which has birthed an entire pay-per-view.
The rest of the card was equally unforgettable, but the match of the night was absolutely the epic clash between Kurt Angle and Shawn Michaels. If it’s not one you’re familiar with, do yourself a favor and remedy that soon.
Looking to the future now, instead of the past, we’ve got a full card prediction for WWE WrestleMania 37, and the expected winners for each contest. Before we get into the matches themselves, you’ll notice a trend. This potential WWE WrestleMania 37 card includes three championship unification matches.
While I don’t personally think the brand split should go anywhere any time soon, history has shown his Vince McMahon has a tendency to go against conventional wisdom. Even if the brand split is seemingly thriving, I wouldn’t be surprised in the slightest to see Mr. McMahon nix it altogether and take us back to the days of a single unified roster. This potential theory does not include NXT, which I don’t expect will ever stop being its own unique brand.
Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal
One of the matches we can count on at WrestleMania 37 is the annual Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. While it often feels like a consolation prize for those involved, it does still provide an opportunity for WWE superstars that didn’t make the main card to make a statement and have their own WrestleMania moment.
It’s difficult to predict who all will be involved when it rolls around, but I already have one man in mind to win the match and take his first WrestleMania moment by force. That man is Keith Lee, whose stock has continued to rise as of late in NXT. I expect Lee will have an NXT Championship reign between now and WrestleMania 37, but not that he’ll still be holding the title when he arrives in Hollywood.
Prediction: Keith Lee
Chyna Memorial Battle Royal (WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal)
When X-Pac was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame alongside the rest of D-Generation X, he campaigned for WWE to rename the WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal after fellow D-Generation X inductee Chyna. The Chyna Memorial Battle Royal is still something I think WWE would be wise to do. It wouldn’t make up for their treatment of her over the years, but it would be proper recognition for the impact she’s had on what women’s wrestling has become today.
As for who would come out victorious in this (ideally) inaugural Chyna Memorial Battle Royal, only one name comes to mind: Bianca Belair. The EST of NXT has the opportunity this Sunday to punch her ticket to WrestleMania against Women’s Royal Rumble winner Charlotte Flair. The plan still seems to be Ripley vs. Flair for WrestleMania 36, and I expect Belair to have an NXT Women’s Championship reign between now and WrestleMania 37, but a victory in this event will be her statement putting the main roster on notice. Bianca Belair will become The EST of WWE.
Prediction: Bianca Belair
