WWE: 5 wrestlers who could beat Andrade for the US Title

If WWE wants to go the safest route, which may not be the most likely root given how Paul Heyman likes to do things on Raw, then Rey Mysterio is the pick. Mysterio himself heard the rumors of a “Hair vs. Mask” match against Andrade, who had targeted the WWE legend’s mask during their rivalry, and was in favor of it happening at WrestleMania 36.

Since it seems like WWE wants to take the title off Andrade (though this could always be a red herring) before WrestleMania in light of his recent suspension, Mysterio vs. Andrade doesn’t seem as likely this year, even amidst rumors of Mysterio passing the torch to Andrade in a retirement match. (And if that is the call, maybe that’s why WWE wants us to think Andrade will drop the title…)

However, it’s possible Andrade drops the title to Mysterio months after winning it at MSG, only to win it back in a retirement match at WrestleMania.

Or maybe Mysterio beats Andrade, and then they use Mysterio to put over Angel Garza one-on-one to give another young heel a boost. They could also have a huge United States Title ladder match with all these incredible wrestlers in the ring together, stealing the show. This multi-man environment allows a babyface like Ricochet or Humberto Carrillo to emerge as a WrestleMania hero despite Mysterio holding the title going into the match.

Whatever the case, there are a number of possibilities. Therefore, Mysterio has to be kept in mind as a possible option to take the title back from Andrade, even if it isn’t likely.
