2. Aleister Black: The Black Mass

There isn’t a more ominous finisher in the game than Aleister Black’s “Black Mass”. Aleister is currently undefeated on the WWE main roster, and the Black Mass should end up being one of the most protected finishers in the company in this era. It will be afforded at least the same care that the End of Days is.

Black’s Black Mass can be set up or come out of nowhere, leading to a stunning conclusion to a match. When Black goes for his sudden finisher early, it sends shockwaves across the arena, because fans know the match could have ended right then and there. And his opponents skilled enough to dodge the move – those who do it multiple times are subtly put over as top competition – do a great job of selling the shock at both the attempt and their own ability to dodge it.

Aleister will be a big star in WWE one day, and the Black Mass is a huge part of his appeal. This move shows how much a great finisher can help a superstar.

1. Ember Moon: The Eclipse

But Aleister’s finisher isn’t the best in WWE. No, that honor belongs to Ember Moon and Ember Moon alone, because “The Eclipse” is one of the greatest signature moves by any athlete in any sport. Seriously, it’s like the Zinedine Zidane roulette, the Allen Iverson crossover, and the Patrick Mahomes no-look pass.

Moon has been missed on WWE programming due to injury, but whenever she’s in the ring, The Eclipse is always a joy to watch. It’s unbelievable how Moon even pulls it off, because it’s such an intricate move where one small misstep could lead to disaster. But Moon consistently pulls it off and makes it look easy. She is one of the most talented wrestlers on this planet, and The Eclipse is a great snapshot of her in-ring ability.
