WWE Elimination Chamber 2020: 5 Things That Need To Happen
By Mark Justice
WWE Elimination Chamber 2020 will take place on March 8 at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and live on the WWE Network with a one-hour kickoff show beginning at 6 p.m. ET/3 p.m. PT. The following will address five things that need to happen on a PPV that is quite frankly the last roadblock to WWE WrestleMania 36.
5.) Shayna Baszler Becomes #1 Contender for Becky Lynch’s Raw Women’s Championship
According to WWE’s official website, Shayna Baszler is scheduled to be in an Elimination Chamber Match at WWE Elimination Chamber 2020 against Natalya, Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan, Sarah Logan, and one half of the Women’s Tag Team Champions, Asuka, to determine Becky’s Lynch’s WrestleMania 36 opponent for the Raw Women’s Championship.
Considering that Becky Lynch already defeated Natalya and Asuka this past year and the Riott Squad have a rivalry of their own, Baszler is clearly the betting favorite to win this match and become #1 Contender for Becky Lynch’s Raw Women’s Championship.
After losing the NXT Women’s Championship to Rhea Ripley, Baszler was called up from NXT to bite Lynch in her neck like a vampire from the Twilight series and continue their rivalry that was sparked from their build to WWE Survivor Series 2019.
She got called up from NXT specifically to continue this rivalry, so it wouldn’t make any sense for a former MMA technician like Baszler to lose an important cage match en route to her inevitable Raw Women’s Championship match with Lynch at WrestleMania.
This Elimination Chamber victory should also be a consolation prize for Baszler’s failed yet close attempt to win the Women’s Royal Rumble and punch a straightforward ticket to the main roster as well as a championship match at WrestleMania 36. Although a predictable outcome, it is quite lucid that Lynch ‘bit’ off more than she can chew.
