Another segment with Elias

John Cena and Elias have quite the connection. Elias’ first major star-making moment occurred on Christmas Day in 2017 when “The Drifter” announced to the 16-time champion that WWE stands for “Walk With Elias”. The story has since become legendary.

Both men had a run-in at WrestleMania 36 when Cena showed up as the Dr. of Thuganomics to make an unannounced interruption of Elias’ concert. Cena enjoys working with Elias, which has led to on-and-off rumors that there could be a WrestleMania match between them this year. Note that Big Match John’s role at the Show of Shows is completely up in the air.

I’m not sure Cena vs. Elias is the best option as a WrestleMania match, since it would be quick, anticlimactic, and serve no real purpose beyond the show for either man.

But I am ALL for the on-screen interactions between these two wrestlers. Cena and Elias have amazing chemistry on the mic together, and it would be an absolute joy to see them up to some more shenanigans this Friday night on FOX.

Sure, Cena could push storylines further by being in a Universal Title-related segment with Goldberg or Bray Wyatt, and The Miz and Cena are always a good time.

However, Elias and Cena are pure magic. So sign me up!
