WWE Elimination Chamber 2020: Ranking every tag team’s chances of winning
6. The Lucha House Party
Gran Metalik and Lince Dorado are two of the best in-ring performers in the company, as the Lucha House Party have put on countless quality matches on 205 Live. Unfortunately, they never really get a chance to showcase their talents on other WWE shows, with their most continued use occurring in a mind-numbing “comedy” feud with The Revival during which they repeatedly won by cheating…as the babyfaces.
In particular, Metalik is a tremendous wrestler who can performer jaw-dropping movies that really nobody else can. That’s why they call him “The King of the Ropes”. Expect Dorado and Metalik to show the world how awesome they are inside an Elimination Chamber match, but don’t expect much outside of that. If anything, they’ll probably be eliminated first.
5. Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode
Remember when Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode won the tag team titles together on Raw? Neither do I, but it says so on their Wikipedia pages, so it must have happened, right?
Even so, Ziggler and Roode have no real credibility as a tag team. I mean, they are both tremendous wrestlers who have accomplished a ton in their respective careers, and they have great chemistry in the ring together. The problem is that nobody takes them seriously as a pairing, and they have essentially no chance at winning this match. And unlike the Lucha House Party, they don’t have the factor of potentially taking anyone by surprise.
Still, it’s honestly good to have them in this match. Roode and Ziggler offer a different change of pace as wrestlers from, say, The Usos and Heavy Machinery. They are methodical ring generals who know how to work as heels. And even though WWE might risk pushing them just to give more spotlight to their odious “leader” King Corbin, I don’t see it happening.
