Bayley has successfully defended the SmackDown Women’s Championship against multiple opponents in 2020, but who will await her at WWE WrestleMania 36? Here are five possible matches for one of the greatest champions in the Blue Brand’s history.

In her second reign as SmackDown Women’s Champion, Bayley has blossomed as a heel, as she and Sasha Banks have regularly been one of the best parts of Friday Night SmackDown. For months, fans have assumed that the direction at WWE WrestleMania 36 will lead to a dream ‘Mania match between Bayley and Banks, but that process has recently been called into question.

Banks’ injury, which prevented her from competing in the Royal Rumble, has made a path to a WrestleMania match more difficult to see. However, Bayley has already retained the title in recent matches against Lacey Evans, Carmella, and Naomi, making Sasha the only obvious candidate in the SmackDown Women’s Division to face her at WrestleMania.

Of course, when in doubt, WWE likes to go with multi-women matches, and if they want to truly give Sasha and Bayley the right amount of time to build to a dream title match at a major Pay Per View, they could hold off until SummerSlam.
