WWE: Beth Phoenix Needs To Get Physical Revenge On Randy Orton

Randy Orton sent shockwaves across the WWE Universe when he RKO’d Beth Phoenix on the Mar. 2 episode of Raw, but it sounds like we can expect “The Glamazon” to get her revenge.

The rivalry between Randy Orton and Edge has become one of the most captivating stories in all of wrestling, and WWE fans are glued to what will happen next in this feud. We haven’t seen Edge on our screens since Orton attacked him on the Raw after WrestleMania, sending him to the hospital (kayfabe, of course).

But honestly, Edge’s lack of direct involvement has been even better, as it’s led to more creativity in the feud with fans itching to see The Rated R Superstar return to get his hands on the sadistic Orton. As always, The Viper plays the role of the merciless, deluded heel as well as anybody.

Edge isn’t the only wrestler who will get satisfying revenge on Orton in the near future. On the Mar. 2 episode of Raw, Orton delivered an excellent, over-the-top heel promo in which he name-dropped Edge and Beth Phoenix’s children, blaming “The Glamazon” for enabling Edge, calling him a “junkie” for adulation from the fans, to risk his health by returning to wrestling.

And Orton RKO’d Phoenix in a moment that shocked WWE fans.

According to a report from WrestlingNews.Co’s Paul Davis, we can expect to see Beth Phoenix get her revenge on Randy Orton for the attack, which came after a scathing and personal promo. Orton’s actions have kicked his rivalry with Edge into another gear, making it feel like the biggest feud in WWE amidst a handful of legitimately amazing rivalries, such as Becky Lynch vs. Shayna Baszler and Seth Rollins vs. Kevin Owens.

The best way for Phoenix to get her revenge on Orton would be to hit her own finisher, the “Glam Slam”, on The Apex Predator. Most wrestling fans are accepting of intergender spots if women and men are presented equally, so having Beth hit Orton with an equally devastating finisher would be the right kind of revenge. She needs to get physical revenge on Orton for this to truly come full circle and for Orton to get the best possible comeuppance for his heinousness.

It will be interesting to see if that’s the direction WWE goes, but hopefully Beth Phoenix gets tangible revenge on Orton for what he did on Raw. This rivalry has now become more than just Edge vs. Orton, though undoubtedly this week’s events have taken their WrestleMania 36 feud to even greater heights. Make sure to give The Glamazon her due credit for that; she was also incredible during that segment.
