It’s time to plunge into a plenitude of surprises for one of WWE’s most dangerous PPVs of 2020. Here are the results, highlights, and analysis for WWE Elimination Chamber 2020, starting with the kickoff match between Viking Raiders and Edge Heads.
Viking Raiders vs. Edge Heads [Tag Match]
Result: Viking Raiders (via pinfall)
Grade: D
Edge Heads attain early control in this bout with back suplexes, neckbreakers, and flying clotheslines of various sorts. Evidently, Viking Raiders facilitate a babyface comeback after the hot tag with a Viking Experience for the three-count and the victory.
Analysis: This match was merely a means to give Viking Raiders enough momentum to possibly get back into the Raw Tag Team Championship picture for Mania, especially after losing to the O.C. at WWE Super ShowDown. Not anything special other than inevitable domination by Raiders with sufficient offense by Edge Heads to warrant a match.
With these two tag teams being booked in the kickoff show, it can be easily forgotten that they are both former Raw Tag Team Champions. Nonetheless, this match was announced at the last minute and had no storyline build up so no harm done necessarily to the Raw Tag Team Division.
