“Smiley” Kylie Rae announced on tonight’s episode of Impact Wrestling that she has signed a long-term contract with the company.

On tonight’s episode of Impact Wrestling, Kylie Rae made her singles debut with the company against Cassandra Golden and secured a strong victory with a Russian Leg Sweep combination into an STF for the submission. It’s her first match with the company after being an entrant in the Call Your Shot Gauntlet at Impact Wrestling Bound for Glory 2019.

While not her first appearance with the company, this moment marked an establishment of Kylie Rae as a key competitor in the Impact Wrestling women’s division, and potentially a contender for other titles in the future considering Impact’s openness to and Rae’s experience with intergender wrestling.

Kylie Rae was interviewed after the match by Jimmy Jacobs, where she talked about her year and announced the contract had been signed.

Making her professional wrestling debut back in 2016 for Booker T’s Reality of Wrestling, Kylie Rae is now in her fifth year of in-ring competition. She also worked as a stuntwoman before going full-time as a wrestler, including working on Divergent and Shameless.

Kylie Rae made an immediate impact in ROW, defeating Ivory Robyn in her debut at only 23 years of age to capture the ROW Diamonds Division Championship. Continuing to stay active with the company into 2019, Rae is a 3-time ROW Diamonds Division Champion, a record that she is tied for with current champion Hyan.

Despite the youth of her career, Kylie Rae has continued to make waves and find success on the independent scene. Rae is a former AAW Women’s Champion, BCW Women’s Champion, Phoenix of RISE Champion, and 2-time Zelo Pro Women’s Champion. She is also the current Sabotage War of the Genders Champion, BLP Midwest Champion, and a 2-time and reigning Freelance World Champion.

While they weren’t companies she was a champion in, Kylie Rae also has experience with House of Hardcore, WildKat, Inspire Pro Wrestling, CZW, Glory Pro Wrestling, Shimmer, GCW, Warrior Wrestling, Bar Wrestling, Beyond Wrestling, Black Label Pro, Lucha Brutál, and in Japan with Stardom.

Most notably, Kylie Rae was briefly with All Elite Wrestling in 2019 prior to the debut of AEW Dynamite on TNT, but departed the company which was initially confirmed by Tony Khan after AEW All Out. Rae later spoke about her departure on Instagram, expressing her appreciation for the opportunity in AEW and emphasizing that “nobody made me leave.”

Now, after setting the foundation for what is hopefully a career with many more years to come, the optimistic and bubbly star forges a new path with Impact Wrestling. In the interview after her singles debut, Kylie Rae commented on her past year and why she chose to sign with Impact Wrestling.

“It feels amazing [to be in Impact Wrestling],” Rae said. “It’s been one emotional year. We had highs and we had lows. We had ups and we had downs. But I knew from the moment I stepped in this Impact Wrestling ring, the arena, this is my home. I felt that.”

dark. Next. Savannah Evans is ready to feast

While the immediate future remains uncertain because Impact Wrestling was forced to cancel their April events, Kylie Rae looks to be a staple of the company moving forward. We can certainly look forward to her cheerful smile, in-ring prowess, and desire to be the very best like no one ever was in Impact Wrestling.
