With Braun Strowman recently capturing the WWE Universal Championship from Goldberg at Wrestlemania, his first challenger is looking to be Bray Wyatt, as some people believe a match like this is too early. Furthermore, one superstar that should face Strowman as his first challenger is Sheamus.

Since winning the Universal Championship from Goldberg at Wrestlemania, Braun Strowman has once again solidified himself as one of WWE’s top-tier performers. With Roman Reigns out of action, for the time being, Strowman has taken the number one spot on FOX’s Friday Night Smackdown, with critics already making predictions on who should he face next.

With that said, as it seems Strowman’s next challenger is “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt, one could argue that a match between the two top performers is too early to do. With countless performers within WWE seem to have little to no direction, one talent that deserves a shot regarding working a program with Strowman is former WWE Champion, Sheamus.

Sheamus has been back with WWE for almost half a year at this point and seems to lack direction regarding his character. Strowman is a talented in-ring performer for a man his size, which is why he should work with other wrestlers close to his size.

Not to say he can’t have a good match with smaller wrestlers, but his better matches seem to be with larger performers like Roman Reigns and the Big Show. Sheamus himself has put on good matches in the past as well, both as a single and tag-team performer. A matchup between him and Strowman may not only surpass expectations but also comes off as a “smash-mouth” heavyweight clash.
