Sonya Deville savagely eviscerates Mandy Rose yet again
Just days after verbally destroying Mandy Rose on SmackDown, Sonya Deville continued her wonderful heel work against “The Golden Goddess” on Twitter.
This past week on SmackDown, Sonya Deville delivered easily the most powerful tongue-lashing of her entire career. After begging Mandy Rose to let Deville explain, she took a hard left turn from distraught former friend to ice cold enemy.
The promo has been met with widespread praise by fans and colleagues alike, and marks what will hopefully be the beginning of a strong singles run as a heel for Sonya Deville. While she’s been a heel for most of her tenure in WWE, Deville has always been paired with Mandy Rose since arriving on the main roster.
That all changed after it was revealed that Deville had orchestrated the destruction of a budding relationship between Mandy Rose and Otis. The infamous unidentified “hacker” on WWE SmackDown made the reveal, and Rose attacked Deville at WrestleMania 36 and embraced Otis to the delight of fans around the world.
The storyline is continuing to work wonders for both Rose and Deville, with the former getting some truly genuine babyface moments and winning over the love of fans. On the flip side, Deville is really coming into her own as a vindictive heel and is ramping that up on Twitter.
After the WWE Twitter account shared the video of Rose and Deville’s confrontation on SmackDown, Rose quote tweeted it expressing how proud she was of her accomplishments. Never one to let a savage opportunity go to waste, Deville fired right back.
It’s the little things that are making Sonya Deville stand out right now. From her delivery on SmackDown to cutting remarks like this on Twitter, she’s going all-in as a heel and finding her groove in a way she’s never really gotten the opportunity to in WWE.
With tensions at a boiling point, WWE has two ideal options to capitalize on this story. Deville and Rose have absolutely earned the chance to square off in a one-on-one grudge match at Money in the Bank.
However, the second option, and probably more likely, is that the former friends will be pitted against each other in a Money in the Bank Qualifying Match. They could really shine on SmackDown if given a solid amount of time, and a win by Deville could propel her all the way to the Money in the Bank briefcase and a future championship match.
