WWE NXT Predictions: Velveteen Dream Will Win The Gold
By Mark Justice
WWE NXT is set to take place on March 2, 2020 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT live on the USA Network with no audience in attendance. The following will preview and predict the major matches and segments that will occur on this episode, which features two epic championship matches.
On this week’s episode of WWE NXT, there are four officially scheduled matches: (1) Adam Cole (c) vs. Velveteen Dream for the NXT Championship, (2) Charlotte Flair (c) vs. Io Shirai for the NXT Women’s Championship, (3) Johnny Gargano vs. Dominik Dijakovic, and (4) the continuation of the NXT Cruiserweight Tournament. As of this writing, there are no officially scheduled segments.
On last week’s episode of NXT, Keith Lee retained the NXT North American Championship against Damian Priest. Since two championships are on the line for this episode, there is bound to be at least one title change. This week’s episode is almost like an NXT Takeover by itself, which makes sense since it is the go-home show to WWE MITB 2020.
With that being said, it’s now time to preview and predict this week’s WWE NXT. To start things off, let’s predict who will win this randomly booked match between the heart and soul of NXT, Johnny Gargano, and Dominik Dijakovic.
5.) Johnny Gargano vs. Dominik Dijakovic [Grudge Match]
Dominik Dijakovic claims that Johnny Gargano is being too anti-establishment when it was the establishment that booked Gargano in almost every NXT Takeover thus far. He thinks that Gargano is a whiny complainer who is unnecessarily playing the victim.
Although Dijakovic makes some valid points, Johnny Gargano will win this match to show Dijakovic why he is persistently booked for NXT Takeovers. Despite the size disadvantage, Gargano will prevail because he has surpassed taller mountains than Dijakovic and needs to keep his momentum going with his wife, Candice LeRae.
Last week on NXT, Candice LeRae defeated Kacy Catanzaro to prove to the NXT Women’s Division that she is not taking second place to anyone anymore. After taking second place to Tomasso Ciampa for so long, Gargano needs to do the same this week against Dominik Dijakovic, so that the repackaging of Gargano and LeRae is taken seriously going forward.
Prediction: Johnny Gargano
