Lacey Evans and Dana Brooke haven’t won championships in WWE yet, which means they would technically have the most to gain in terms of status if they were to win the briefcase. However, it’s not quite that simple when it comes to projecting future benefit.

For example, Evans isn’t a credible future champion. She just isn’t respected enough by fans, she relies on the same tired tropes on social media and on television, and she’s still developing in the ring. A briefcase victory would backfire.

Dana Brooke’s situation is more complicated, since she has the experience and in-ring skills to make things happen. She’s also improved significantly on promos in the last three years. But Brooke still needs to build momentum, and it doesn’t seem like WWE is high enough on her to give her the best opportunity to succeed as a briefcase-holder.

But Asuka is perfect. She is a charismatic star who has been one of WWE’s top performers in 2020. The greatest champion in NXT history, Asuka is a legitimate record-breaker who has transformed into one of Raw’s best heels.

Asuka would be entertaining and sinister as the WWE MITB 2020 briefcase winner, and her history with Becky Lynch – as well as her interesting current relationship with Shayna Baszler – adds even more intrigue around her holding the briefcase. She can be hilarious on the mic, but she can also be a killer when it comes to picking her spot. Her promos would be awesome.
