Seth Rollins has been a mainstay in WWE over the past decade, but there are still several dream matches left for him, including one with former NXT Champion Johnny Gargano.

Both Seth Rollins and Johnny Gargano have embraced the dark side in 2020, showing nothing but evil intentions on WWE television. Gargano has teased a villainous turn before, but, now, he is truly remorseless and psychotic – traits Rollins has known well since his heinous betrayal of The Shield before becoming The Authority’s poster boy.

Gargano and Rollins are two of the best wrestlers in the world and have been operating at a high level in the ring for the past several years. While Gargano’s resume in WWE isn’t nearly as impressive as Rollins’, who owns as WrestleMania main event cash-in and TWO title wins over Brock Lesnar, he is a former NXT Champion and decorated tag team wrestler.

In a recent interview with talkSPORT’s prolific Alex McCarthy, Rollins was asked about previous comments Gargano made about wanting to face “The Monday Night Messiah”.

Rollins responded in kind with compliments, stating that the former “Rebel Heart” is a “special talent”. And he couldn’t be more right about that.

Although Rollins noted that both men have familiarity with each other before WWE, he wants to have a program with Gargano “on a bigger stage”.

And so do we!

Gargano vs. Rollins would be an absolute dream match that could be for any world title, given the quality both men possess inside and outside the ring. Although Gargano is thriving in his current heel role, he was once arguably the hottest babyface in wrestling during the beginning of his legendary feud with Tommaso Ciampa in NXT.

A rivalry between these two men would bring back that fighting spirit from Gargano and help entrench Rollins as an even more odious character. Rollins, for his part, is a great babyface, but he’s at his best when he’s getting under everyone’s skin – as he is right now.
