Asuka is one of the six women competing in the WWE Money in the Bank 2020 Women’s Ladder Match, and here are three reasons why she should be the one to obtain the briefcase.

Known as The Empress of Tomorrow, Asuka has been one of the best wrestlers in the company since debuting with NXT in October 2015. The former SmackDown Women’s Champion will be competing at WWE Money in the Bank 2020 in the Women’s Ladder Match as one of the three representatives from Raw, with those three wrestlers standing the best chance of winning.

While Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax would also be sensible opponents for current Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch, here are three reasons why Asuka should get the win.

She’s been the MVP

As my colleague Dina Amanuel pointed out in April, Asuka has been the MVP of WWE in the “crowdless era”. Her heel antics, hilarious jokes, and over-the-top gestures have made her even more charismatic without crowds, because she stands out more than anyone else.

Her matches with Kairi Sane against Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross were regular highlights on SmackDown, as the Kabuki Warriors worked both Raw and Friday Night SmackDown regularly in order to keep up the prestige of the Women’s Tag Titles.

But now that they no longer have the belts, Asuka can focus on winning the Raw Women’s Title, which continues to elude her while it is in Becky Lynch’s clutches.

Why wouldn’t WWE want the MVP of the crowdless era to hold the prestigious Money in the Bank briefcase? Asuka would do more for the contract than anyone else in this match.
