Drew McIntyre will defend his championship at WWE Money in the Bank 2020 against Seth Rollins. Here are three reasons why he must win.

At WrestleMania 36, Drew McIntyre completed his incredible comeback story, winning the WWE Championship from Brock Lesnar. And now at WWE Money in the Bank 2020, he must face the “Monday Night Messiah”, who is desperate to avenge a personally embarrassing loss to the fiery Kevin Owens at the Show of Shows.

McIntyre vs. Rollins has always been a likely post-WrestleMania feud for the newly-crowned world champion on Raw, But here are three reasons why McIntyre must prevail against his old foe.

1. It’s the beginning of his reign

The most obvious reason in support of Drew McIntyre remaining WWE Champion after WWE Money in the Bank 2020 concludes is that his reign has only just begun. After defeating Brock Lesnar in the Royal Rumble and at WrestleMania, McIntyre has the rocket strapped to him. As with Becky Lynch after WrestleMania 35 on Raw, this is McIntyre’s time to absolutely own Monday nights as champion.

It all starts with defeating Seth Rollins. McIntyre cannot afford a loss, because if he loses, what was the entire point of anything? WWE could try to pull a swerve, but they don’t “hot potato” the main men’s title on Raw. We’re not talking about the tag titles here. (Apologies to the tag team division, but it’s true…you get disrespected in that way.)
