MVP is building a heel stable on Monday Night Raw, and the latest WWE Rumors indicate he could be adding Apollo Crews to make it a trio.

Over the past couple of months, WWE have been using MVP on Monday Night Raw to further storylines, including major ones involving victorious WrestleMania babyfaces Drew McIntyre and Edge. But now, MVP is building his own team of heels, looking to use his mic skills and experience to mentor the next generation of talent to the top.

So far, MVP has eyed Brendan Vink and former TM61 tag team specialist Shane Thorne for his stable, and it sounds like he’s ready to add a bigger name.

According to the Wrestling Observer News’ Dave Meltzer, via WrestlingInc.com’s Marc Middleton, Apollo Crews could turn heel soon and join Vink and Thorne in a stable with MVP. While this isn’t the only potential option for Crews, it’s certainly an intriguing one.

On this past episode of Raw, we saw Vink and Thorne defeated the talented tag team of Cedric Alexander and Ricochet after the two received encouragement from MVP. Alexander and Ricochet are former champions on other brands in WWE, so this win was massive for Vink and Thorne. They were essentially punching above their weight.

Crews would be a much bigger catch, though. WWE have been using him more frequently again lately, and fans have been waiting for the former NXT star, whom they will always believe was called up too soon, to shine on the “main roster”.

Out of Money in the Bank and replaced by AJ Styles due to injury, Crews will be hungry to finally achieve success. A stable with MVP and a positive dynamic with Vink and Thorne could be what Crews needs, as this group would have more upside than the comedic “Titus Worldwide” for Crews’ career.
