Otis has a real chance at winning

WWE SmackDown closed with King Corbin basking in his own glory at the top of the ladder, holding the Money in the Bank briefcase as the credits rolled. (Well, OK, there are no actual credits…but there should be!)

This pose at the top of the ladder with the briefcase is common on the final show before the Pay Per View, and it can be risky reading too much into it.

But before Corbin ascended the ladder, Otis was well on his way to doing so. Unfortunately, the bottom runs of the ladder gave out before one-half of Heavy Machinery could make his statement.

That will lead to the question, can Otis even climb the ladder at the top of Titan Tower to retrieve the title shot? I have a feeling Otis will answer this question creatively, and that answer could lead to comeuppance and a career-making victory for a man who has become one of SmackDown’s biggest babyfaces recently.

Plus, Corbin cut a gross promo about Otis earlier in the show, which motivated Otis to join Drew Gulak and Daniel Bryan in a tag match against Corbin and his (well, technically they are Sami Zayn’s) goons.

Don’t count out Otis.
