Impact Wrestling is still airing pre-taped shows, and they have also re-signed a former champion in Su Yung.

In 2018, Su Yung took the world by storm in her debut year with Impact Wrestling, feuding with Allie and Rosemary as the Undead Bride in one of professional wrestling’s best storylines. She has since become a key part of Impact, though she hasn’t been seen since her contract expired in March.

However, Yung is back with the promotion.

According to a report from PWInsider.com’s Mike Johnson, via Fightful.com’s Jeremy Lambert, Yung and Impact Wrestling have agreed to a new multi-year deal. Per Johnson, they had been working on a new contract since her deal expired in March, so it wonderful to see that the have come to an agreement.

It will be interesting if word arises on when they agreed to a deal, because it would be especially positive to see Impact coming to terms with a contract during the pandemic. Since WWE callously released wrestlers to keep their profit margins high, shows of solidarity with talent from major wrestling promotions have become even more important.

Su Yung has so much to give to Impact, and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see her win another Knockouts Championship in the near future. With Jessicka Havok becoming a force in the division and Kimber Lee and Nevaeh recently making television debuts from the last taping, there are so many wrestlers for Yung to feud with. And of course, there are the big names like Kiera Hogan, Tenille Dashwood, Taya Valkyrie, Impact World Champion Tessa Blanchard, Kylie Rae, Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace, and former foe Rosemary.

Impact Wrestling has made some great additions to their Knockouts Division recently, so the news of them re-signing an important part of the division from the last couple of years is equally wonderful. We’ll see when the next tapings are and when Yung makes her highly-anticipated return to Tuesday nights.
