WWE NXT Predictions (5/13/2020): Here’s who Adam Cole will face next

WWE NXT is set to take place on May 13, 2020, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT live on the USA Network with no audience in attendance. The following will preview and predict the major matches and segments that will occur in this episode, which features an epic tag team championship match.
On this week’s episode of WWE NXT, there are two officially scheduled matches: (1) Matt Riddle and Timothy Thatcher (c) vs. Imperium for the NXT Tag Team Championships, and (2) Finn Balor vs. Cameron Grimes. As of this writing, there are no officially scheduled segments.
On last week’s episode of NXT, Adam Cole conclusively retained the NXT Championship against Velveteen Dream and Charlotte Flair inconclusively retained the NXT Championship against Io Shirai. The WWE Universe will very likely be wondering who is next for the top champions on NXT, and it should be feasible to predict future opponents for those champions.
With that being said, it’s now time to preview and predict this week’s WWE NXT. To start things off, let’s predict who will advance in the NXT Cruiserweight Championship Tournament.
5.) NXT Cruiserweight Championship Tournament
"Group A Kushida (2-0) Drake Maverick (1-1) Jake Atlas (1-1) Tony Nese (0-2)"
Group A: Last week on NXT, Kushida defeated Jake Atlas from Group A of the Interim NXT Cruiserweight Championship Tournament. The only match-ups that have not been featured yet are Kushida vs. Drake Maverick and Jake Atlas vs. Tony Nese.
It is very likely that Kushida vs. Drake Maverick will take place next week and Jake Atlas vs. Tony Nese will take place this week. Since Tony Nese is a former Cruiserweight Champion and should get at least one victory in this tournament, Nese will defeat Atlas to go up 1-2 and simply to stop Atlas from being considered for a Group A Finals tiebreaker.
Group A Prediction: Tony Nese
"Group B Akira Tozawa (2-0) El Hijo del Fantasma (1-1) Isaiah “Swerve” Scott (1-1) Jack Gallagher (0-2)"
Group B: Last week on NXT, Akira Tozawa defeated Jack Gallagher from Group B of the Interim NXT Cruiserweight Championship Tournament. The only match-ups that have not been featured yet are Akira Tozawa vs. El Hijo del Fantasma and Isaiah ‘Swerve’ Scott vs. Jack Gallagher.
It is very likely that Akira Tozawa vs. El Hijo del Fantasma will take place next week and Isaiah ‘Swerve’ Scott vs. Jack Gallagher will take place this week. Since Gallagher has no chance in hell of winning this tournament anymore, Scott will defeat Gallagher to go up 2-1 and hopefully be considered for a Group B Finals tiebreaker.
Group B Prediction: Isaiah ‘Swerve’ Scott
