Fast forward some spring and summer months, the WWE Universe was blown away when it was announced that the WWE 2K20 would have two cover superstars, unveiling Roman Reigns and Becky Lynch as the talents chosen with this prestigious honor.
Lynch would become the very first female wrestler selected for this, further carving out her legacy within the WWE and sports entertainment as a whole. Needless to say, while this moment didn’t happen in the ring, it signifies something so much bigger when it comes to Lynch’s career in this industry, and what may lay ahead.

After months and months of massive promotion, the debut of SmackDown LIVE on Fox had (finally) arrived on Friday, Oct. 4 of 2019, and who else was chosen to open up such an epic night? Well, Becky Lynch, Raw Women’s Champion, The Man, the top star of the WWE, and the “face that ran the place”, at that moment in time.
While King Corbin interrupted her, The Rock would quickly come to join her in that squared circle, adding an assist, of sorts. A cool moment for the WWE Universe to witness, and a true indication that Lynch was more than capable of hanging with the big boys, and could hold her ground with the People’s Champion.
