WWE: 5 brand-to-brand invitationals that we would love to see next
By Amit Shukla
WWE Champion Drew McIntyre gave King Corbin an opportunity to visit Raw last Monday, but will anyone else step up to the Scottish Psychopath? What other Brand to Brand invitationals could we see next?
In an attempt to add to the ongoing experimentation that has been conducted lately while running shows without fans, WWE have introduced the Brand to Brand Invitational, where wrestlers from Raw and SmackDown can wrestle on opposite brands for up to four times a year.
In the first challenge, WWE Champion Drew McIntyre called out King Corbin to Raw while AJ Styles (prior to being officially drafted) visited SmackDown to take part in the Intercontinental Championship tournament.
It is with this idea in mind that we put together a list of superstars that will be the perfect fit to continue the new tradition. It was revealed that NXT will not be included in the Invitational, but let’s make an argument for the third brand’s inclusion because they have a plethora of talent. So without further ado, let’s get down to it:
Keith Lee vs. Braun Strowman
The current WWE NXT North American Champion Keith Lee came face to face with the current Universal Champion Braun Strowman during the Royal Rumble match. With Keith eliminated early, the fans didn’t get the opportunity to see these two square off and enjoy the moment that the powerhouses would have created.
If the company does consider NXT and decides to NXT superstars in matches against Raw and SmackDown superstars, then we are in for a treat. These two could bring the house down and give the fans moments to last a lifetime.
