The Bro is expected to move to the WWE’s main roster, but where will he find the best opportunities or be a flagship star: Raw or SmackDown? Let’s find out.

Matt Riddle may move from the black and gold brand to the blue or red brand following this week’s episode of WWE NXT. The next show to have the WWE superstars in attendance is expected to see The King of Bros bid farewell to the third brand and move over to another one this week or next week, per Wrestling Observer Radio (h/t WrestlingNews.Co).

While there can be a debate arguing for either brand that Riddle would be a perfect fit for, it is safe to say that The Original Bro would have good storylines at his disposal from the get-go wherever he goes.

The former MMA fighter has transitioned well from a different field of work to sports entertainment. Now, as the time comes for him to make the switch, it is undeniable that he would make a good impact. The big question that remains now is which brand would be the perfect place for one half of the former NXT Tag Team Champions?

It is with this in mind that I evaluate the brands and the feasibility of Matt Riddle on the respective brand. So without further ado, let’s get down to it and feel free to drop in your comments wrestling community for the readers’ kind perusal:

Raw

WWE’s flagship show has shaped the careers of many superstars over the years and continues to do so to  this date. Murphy, Austin Theory, and even Andrade are some of the recent new superstars who have seen a paradigm shift in their careers since being on the red brand.

Apollo Crews’ career resurgence this Monday Night on Raw is a clear indication that The Mad Genius behind the curtain, Paul Heyman, is doing everything in his capacity to make the show a better place for the fans and its new superstars.

SmackDown

While Raw has its reasons for being a good show for Matt Riddle on arrival, the company would not want to take a risk upfront. The fact that we have seen a lot of NXT call ups move to obscurity is a prime example of why the company may be hesitant in calling The Stallion Battalion to the main show.

SmackDown is the Land of Opportunity, and a lot of superstars have excelled after years of being in the system. WrestleMania 35 turned into KofiMania and Drew Gulak as well as Murphy also tasted success for the first time on the blue brand. Bruce Prichard would want to up the ante by bringing The Bro That Runs The Show compete with AJ Styles because SmackDown is the House that AJ Styles built.

With two great brands in one company and both with unlimited possibilities, it would make perfect sense for Matt Riddle to walk through the curtains on the blue brand and sing along with The New Day that ‘It’s a New Day, Yes it Is’ because for the moment, SmackDown rocks.
