AJ Styles is now back on WWE SmackDown, the house that he built and with the plethora of talent on the show can we see some career resurgences here too?

The Phenomenal One is back on TV and has moved from Monday to Friday Nights on WWE SmackDown, back to the house he claimed to have built during his previous run on the show.

With a career spanning decades, the 42-year old in-ring veteran has made his presence felt during the Intercontinental Championship tournament, where he took on his former nemesis Shinsuke Nakamura and won the first round.

Previously, ‘The Prince of Phenomenal’ went toe to toe with The Undertaker in a Boneyard Match at WrestleMania and won despite the loss. The former WWE Champion was buried 6-feet under the ground, but he dusted it off and returned with excitement to participate in the Men’s Money In The Bank ladder match at the show of the same name.

Otis has the briefcase snugged with him, as The Phenomenal One didn’t hold it tight during the closing moments of the highly anticipated match.

Now that he’s back on Friday nights, AJ Styles is aware of the SmackDown landscape, but what if this time around he got new competition? It would be a welcome thing for the superstar and his opponents who would get an opportunity to get over with the fans. It is with this in mind that I list names whom will be a worthy opponent to Styles and welcome your input:

Matt Riddle

If Matt Riddle is truly making his way to the blue brand as it is currently rumored, then it will be a win-win situation for the two because AJ Styles will have an opportunity to put a superstar over, and Riddle would have good competition by his side. The Styles Clash countering a BroDerek will be a great visual for the fans at home, and the company shouldn’t miss the opportunity.
