Lots of buzz around Matt Riddle as of late and a potential jump from NXT to the WWE’s main roster!

The Wrestling Observer recently noted that if Riddle’s Cage Fight last night wasn’t his black and gold brand “farewell,” then it would be happening soon in some form. Meanwhile, PWInsider has stated multiple sources have told them that the Original Bro will be joining Friday Night SmackDown and soon.

While many fans would love to eventually see Matt Riddle in a program (or even just a match) with either Brock Lesnar or Goldberg, as he’s ruffled quite some feathers on social media via posts and videos, below are three potential SmackDown debut feud that can get Riddle started on the brand.

Drew Gulak

Is he or isn’t he still with the WWE? While about ten days ago, news hit the Internet that Gulak’s WWE contract had expired, it’s been reported recently that Drew was in fact a part of this week’s SmackDown tapings and will appear on the show on Friday.

If his Twitter profile provides any indication, then it seems he IS still a WWE superstar, and PWInsider has reported that Gulak has indeed signed a new contract with the company.

With all that said, launching a feud between a debuting Riddle, and a (somewhat) returning Gulak would be interesting; especially if all these puzzle pieces were aligned for this week’s SmackDown. Gulak is a fantastic technical wrestler in that squared circle, and mixed with Riddle’s in-ring style, the two could create a fantastic program.
