The WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships will be on the line this Friday night on WWE SmackDown as Nikki Cross and Alexa Bliss are set to defend those titles against Sasha Bank and SD Women’s Champion, Bayley.

For a lot of us WWE fans, there’s nothing more fun than to speculate on what shall happen in current storylines and below are some reasons around why I think Bayley and Sasha Banks should walk away two-time tag champions, when all is said and done.

Place A Spotlight On The Titles

Since the Women’s Tag titles came to be, there has yet to have been a bonafide program or storyline linked to them. Sure, there was a ton of hype in late 2018 and early 2019 prior to crowning the first-ever women’s tag champs, they’ve had matches on television and pay-per-views.

However, WWE Creative hasn’t offered anything solid in terms of storylines or rivalries to really place prestige on these championships. They’ve merely gotten lost in the shuffle.

Now, if Sasha Banks and Bayley scored a win this Friday and snagged those titles, the next inevitable (and smart) move would create an upset win, so that Bliss and Cross could counter back, potentially to be booked for a rematch (or two) along the way.

Create a program between these two teams to create a truly memorable rivalry between the four women to help place a much needed spotlight on these titles.
