WWE Evolution 2: 5 matches we’d love to see on the card
By Amit Shukla
Here’s what a WWE Evolution 2 card should look like.
The WWE Evolution Pay Per View in 2018 was one of the biggest things to happen during the past decade, and the WWE Universe loved it. Stephanie McMahon decided to share this astounding news with the WWE Universe, and the reaction by the female superstars in the company was enough to tell you their feelings.
It was the first-ever Women only show which despite being overlooked by two men backstage went well, and everyone loved the tag team match involving Alexa Bliss and Mickie James vs. Trish Stratus and Lita. The two WWE Hall of Famers put forth competition for the opponents with great in-ring action and the fans worldwide.
Ronda Rousey defeated Nikki Bella, and Rhea Ripley defeated Dakota Kai to entertain the fans to the best possible level. 2019’s tight schedule put the show into oblivion, and this year things have fallen to the pandemic. Despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the fans have been vocal about Evolution this year, and one would have to see if the company takes it into account because the show is not on the list of events scheduled this year.
In the event of the event taking shape, these matches should be a part of the WWE Evolution 2 match card.
Bayley vs Sasha Banks (SmackDown Women’s Championship)
Bayley and Sasha Banks have played every character that there is in the books. They have been friends, enemies, frienemies, and a tag team as well, where they are the current Women’s Tag Team Champions.
A large part of the WWE Universe would want them to defend their tag team titles at Evolution, but that is not a good idea because the two need to be a part of one on one action.
A title loss will instigate the desire for revenge amongst them, and Sasha Banks could blame Bayley for the loss. Sasha Banks knows how to play heel to perfection, while Bayley has not performed well as a heel. The work by these two will set the stage for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at Evolution.
Sasha Banks’ retorts on how she helped Bayley retain, followed by a blindside attack, will set the tone for a match that will have the fans involved.
