In response to AJ Styles being traded to SmackDown a month ago, both Mustafa Ali and Dolph Ziggler have been rumored to be traded to the flagship show of WWE Raw. The following will identify and explain five key opponents Dolph Ziggler could battle in the squared circle on the red brand.

Dolph Ziggler is renowned for his exquisite technical wrestling, passionate promos, and ostentatious selling in the WWE. Whether it’s in the ring, on the mic, or during one of his comedy shticks, he delivers and assures that he is not outshined.

After being in the WWE for 16 years with two World Heavyweight Championships, six Intercontinental Championships, two United States Championships, and two Tag Team Championships, his veteran status qualifies him to put over up-and-coming superstars who need a little bit more exposure on WWE television.

On SmackDown, his veteran status was put to good use in his WWE Championship rivalry with Kofi Kingston and his love storyline with Otis, Mandy Rose, and Sonya Deville. Now that he is rumored to go to Raw, here are five opponents he could similarly put over.

Honorable Mention: 2 Fly Crew (i.e. Ricochet and/or Cedric Alexander)

It is unlikely that Dolph Ziggler will battle either Ricochet or Cedric Alexander in the immediate future since Ricochet and Cedric Alexander are currently a tag team. Nonetheless, there’s no doubt that these matches would have the potential to steal the show.

With only one United States Championship under his belt, Ricochet’s talent has been unjustifiably wasted on Raw. A match with Dolph Ziggler would help remind the WWE Universe what he is capable of in the WWE ring and why he is indeed championship material.

With only one Cruiserweight Championship under his belt, Cedric Alexander’s talent has also been unjustifiably wasted on Raw. A match with Dolph Ziggler would help remind the WWE Universe, but more importantly Vince McMahon, why he should be on the top of the card by now.
