WWE: 4 possible retirement matches for Jeff Hardy

Who could be Jeff Hardy’s opponent once he retires from WWE and professional wrestling as a whole?

Jeff Hardy is one of the biggest daredevils we have in the WWE, and truth be told, no one can jump from the top rope (among other things) quite like Jeff.

Jeff Hardy has been through some of the most challenging times in his career with substance abuse issues and DUI cases where he made headlines and didn’t serve well for himself. The company took the liberty of using it as a storyline and depending on where this storyline is heading, the retirement of Jeff Hardy could be near.

It is with this idea in mind that I list down possible opponents who could Jeff Hardy from professional wrestling.

Sheamus

Sheamus is one of the best Irishmen to step up to the main-event status in the WWE. He is the only Irish Superstar to hold the Heavyweight Championship in the company. Right now, he is currently involved with the former tag team champion.

The Fella has not had many solid storylines over his career that make both him and his opponent look good, but this seems to be the right storyline for the superstars to do just that. It’s about time that the former champion takes this to another level where they keep their fight going by adding more superstars to this storyline before Rumble approaches.

If their feud ever boils over to the point where the two could both put their respective careers on the line in a match, it would elevate the storyline, and that will be a good idea. If the company goes ahead with it, then Sheamus could have the honor of retiring his nemesis for good and wiping off the Hardy’s from the WWE.

It will get as personal as it gets, and only Jeff will have the right to either make a return and shut down the former champion or quietly retire. Or, perhaps move to a new company like his younger brother.
