WWE Raw: 3 possible finishes for Asuka vs. Bayley

Bayley and Asuka will have the most highly-anticipated match on WWE Raw this week.

The women’s champions on WWE Raw and SmackDown are operating at the top of their games, and they will cross paths on Monday night in a champion vs. champion match. It’s familiar territory for Bayley, who has faced champions multiple times during her reign as SmackDown Women’s Champion, including at Survivor Series and last month on SmackDown.

This coming match on Monday night won’t just revisit one of NXT’s best rivalries of all-time; it will also build towards Asuka’s Raw Women’s Title match against Sasha Banks, who holds the Women’s Tag Titles with Bayley.

Here are three possible finishes for the match.

Asuka wins despite Sasha’s best efforts

I’m not sure this outcome is among the most likely, but it could happen if the company wants to put over the WWE Raw Women’s Champion to make her as strong as possible for Sasha Banks at Extreme Rules. Maybe Sasha pulls off an upset at Extreme Rules so WWE will give her this win over Bayley to soften that blow, but I don’t see that happening. It’s far more likely to Sasha and Bayley to still feud on SmackDown than to be on separate brands, though that’s not impossible.

So what could happen is Sasha tries to interfere to help Bayley, just as Bayley tried to help Sasha at NXT Great American Bash. Except Sasha’s help will backfire, and Asuka will defeat the SmackDown Women’s Champion to show that she’s the strong babyface champion wrestlers like Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler must fear on Raw.
