2.) Asuka (w/Kairi Sane) vs. Bayley (w/Sasha Banks) [Champion vs. Champion Match]

On last week’s WWE Raw, Dolph Ziggler and Sasha Banks teamed up for the first time ever to defeat WWE Champion Drew McIntyre and Raw Women’s Champion Asuka, solidifying their positions as credible number one contenders for the respective championships that they are pursuing at WWE Extreme Rules 2020.

On last week’s WWE NXT, Sasha Banks then lost to NXT Women’s Champion Io Shirai, thanks to Asuka’s illegal distraction at ringside, which our Kevin Parvizi foresaw way ahead of time. This distraction was illegal because the brand-to-brand invitational rules don’t allow main roster superstars to go to NXT with the exception of the Women’s Tag Team Champions. Bayley tried her best to stop Asuka from illegally interfering, but she was milliseconds too late.

On this week’s WWE Raw, Asuka will battle her main rival’s best friend, Bayley, in a champion vs. champion match. This main event worthy match is a neat throwback to their memorable NXT TakOver: Brooklyn II NXT Women’s Championship match, where Asuka dethroned Bayley to win that championship and become the longest-reigning champion, holding it for a record 510 days.

Ever since that encounter, Bayley has never defeated Asuka. However, that shouldn’t change on this week’s episode because Asuka needs to look strong in Sasha’s presence and it would look bad for her as Raw Women’s Champion to lose on her own turf. Henceforth, Asuka should defeat Bayley but with the returning Kairi Sane’s help to keep both parties looking strong no matter what.

Prediction: Asuka
