The full results, highlights, and grades from NJPW Dominion 2020.
NJPW returned to the Legendary Osaka Jo Hall tonight for their Dominion show. But more importantly, the fans returned with them. Following a nearly four-month restriction against fans in attendance at professional wrestling shows following the COVID-19 pandemic.
They were eager to make their presence felt following one of the most seismic and shocking shifts in the NJPW roster since Kenny Omega attacked AJ Styles to take control of the Bullet Club.
Last night in the final of the New Japan Cup, Los Ingobernables De Japon founding member EVIL was triumphant against former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada taking home the NJ Cup trophy and earned himself a chance to challenge the leader of his stable Tetsuya Naito for both his IWGP Heavyweight and IWGP Intercontinental championships.
In a moment of respect, Naito entered the ring with EVIL teasing at Dominion’s main event before Evil turned on him showing that he is no longer a member of LIJ and has instead aligned himself with the heel stable Bullet Club.
The night began with six-man tag action as young lion Gabriel Kidd teamed with legends Togi Makabe and Tomoaki Honma against fellow legends Satoshi Kojima, Yuji Nagata, and Ryuske Taguchi.
