The final episode of WWE SmackDown before Extreme Rules was full of highs and lows.

Extreme Rules will feature a few big matches from the Blue Brand, as the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship and Tag Titles will be on the line. Those two matches have show-stealing potential, but the SmackDown match that could main event is a non-title bout between Braun Strowman and Bray Wyatt. We finally got to see those two wrestlers in new segments this week.

Here are five takeaways from the final episode of WWE SmackDown before The Horror Show at Extreme Rules.

A Tables match is perfect

Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura vs. The New Day could be the Match of the Night at Extreme Rules this Sunday. On Friday night, Cesaro defeated Big E in a great match pitting two big meaty men slapping meat, but the Swiss Cyborg needed some perfectly-timed interference from Nakamura to score the winning pinfall. Afterward, Cesaro and Nakamura brought out the Tables.

So naturally, that will be the stipulation come Sunday. Nakamura and Cesaro are due for a big title win together, as they have unsurprisingly emerged as an upper-echelon tag team in WWE. But it’s hard to pick against The New Day…
