Seth Rollins vs. Rey Mysterio [Eye-For-An-Eye Match]

Rey Mysterio and Seth Rollins had plenty of spots that involved their eyes but still managed to have a wrestling match of sorts. Rey Mysterio’s key maneuvers involved Frog Splashes, Sunset Flip Powerbombs, and Tornado DDT’s, while Rollins’ was more focused on taking Mysterio’s eye out with a kendo stick.

After delivering the 619, Rey Mysterio delivered a Curb Stomp to Rollins and pressed Rollins’ eye on the edge of the steel steps but Rollins countered with a Low Blow and a Curb Stomp of his own. Rollins took Mysterio’s eye out on the Steel Steps to win the match and vomited in reaction to this victory. Rollins won the Eye for an Eye Match.

Analysis: While the spots were fun, the stipulation took away from the match and the match was not as gory as promised. It looks as if Rollins will have to deal with Dominick Mysterio, come WWE SummerSlam 2020 while Mysterio is written off television.
