Sasha Banks and Bayley are on an incredible run, and one of them is already a favorite to win WWE Royal Rumble 2021.
It’s unclear if Sasha Banks won the Raw Women’s Championship at Extreme Rules on July 19, but championship gold will soon be The Boss’. Most fans expect Sasha to win the SmackDown Women’s Championship off best friend Bayley, with SummerSlam still looking like the possible time when the two will finally have a match.
Right now, Banks is in the midst of her second Women’s Tag Team Title run, and Sasha and Bayley have established themselves as the best tag team in wrestling right now. The competition is stiff, but their performances every night have made it clear that they aren’t just the best; they are on a historic run.
Looking to the future, Banks seems poised to pick up some more accolades. According to IWNerd.com, SkyBet has Sasha listed as THE favorite to win the Women’s Rumble match at WWE Royal Rumble 2021.
It’s too early to actually say who the favorite is, because we don’t even know what storylines will be on the horizon. We don’t know if Sasha and Bayley will break up and have a title match or when that would happen, let alone if Sasha would be champion by then.
But it says a lot about The Boss’ star power that she’s listed as the favorite to win the Rumble match alongside Roman Reigns with the same odds. That’s the big takeaway here. Banks has never won the Women’s Rumble, but she’s always been whispered as one of the favorites, with the exception of 2019 when she had a title match with Ronda Rousey.
