The episode of WWE Raw after Extreme Rules set up two big title matches and even more questions.

WWE Raw has been excellent lately, even if the ratings are tumbling during the pandemic, and the July 20 show after Extreme Rules was no exception. Two world title matches were set up, as fans finally got some clarity on what happened between Sasha Banks and Asuka at Extreme Rules.

But there were also some mid-card storylines that were developed, in addition to hints of Asuka’s future challenger if it is assumed she regains her title. Here are five takeaways from this week’s WWE Raw.

Ruby Riott is building momentum

Ruby Riott is one of the most respected wrestlers in WWE, and she put Peyton Royce in her place by defeating the bully in a one-on-one match. It’s Ruby’s first singles win since returning, as she found it difficult to defeat the IIconics one-on-one due to Billie Kay or Peyton Royce interfering on the other’s behalf.

In this match, Kay wasn’t around, which was a weird sight indeed, so Riott took advantage by winning a fair fight. Whenever Liv Morgan returns, she and Ruby should be ready to shine as a tag team, going after Sasha Banks and Bayley’s Women’s Tag Team Titles.

During the earlier segment with Royce and Bianca Belair, Riott wanted to come to blows when Royce insulted Liv. Ruby cares about her friend; that’s easy to tell.
