Kazuchika Okada vs. Yujiro Takahashi

Result: Okada verbally submits Takahashi

This match seemed to crawl compared to the breakneck pace of the 10-man match that came before it but was much more compelling. Takahashi, the former member of CHAOS, took advantage early and put Okada on his back on the outside of the ring hard leaving him open for the abuse that he wanted to subject him to.

Years of jealousy and resentment seemed to bubble to the surface as the match wore on with Takahashi getting less and less patient choosing to run blindly into Okada’s offense instead of taking his time and picking his spots carefully.

Takahashi used typical Bullet Club tactics that were absent from Bone Soldiers match earlier in the night utilizing Okada’s former manager Gedo who gave Takahashi his signature cane to beat on Okada while the referee was distracted.

Okada was able to overcome this however pulling Takahashi into a tombstone before submitting him in the center of the ring.

Grade: B-

A solid match that continues to build on what will eventually be a huge match at a marquee show and a good showing for Takahashi to remind us all why the Tokyo Pimp was so highly recruited by the Bullet Club just a few short years ago.
