Next week on WWE NXT, Kushida and Cameron Grimes will compete in a triple threat for a spot in the North American Champion Ladder Match at NXT TakeOver: XXX, but who will be their mystery third opponent?

This week on WWE NXT, we filled another spot in the imminent five-man ladder match at NXT TakeOver: XXX to crown a new NXT North American Champion. Damian Priest picked up a win over Oney Lorcan and the debuting Ridge Holland, putting him in the match along with Bronson Reed and Dexter Lumis.

However, word broke later that Lumis suffered an ankle injury and will not be medically cleared to compete.

Therefore, after the fourth triple threat to earn a spot in this match, William Regal revealed the competitors who failed to win but were not pinned or submitted in their matches will face off in singles matches to fill out the last two spots in the ladder match.

Finn Balor, Johnny Gargano, and Ridge Holland will all qualify for those second chance matches. The fourth second chance competitor will be the man who fails to win, but doesn’t definitively lose, this coming week on WWE NXT.

Kushida and Cameron Grimes will be in this final triple threat, but the third competitor remains a mystery and will be revealed next week on WWE NXT. Let’s look at five competitors who could fill that slot next week and look to earn a shot at the NXT North American Championship.
