Karrion Kross blindsides Keith Lee on the road to NXT TakeOver 30.

Two weeks away from NXT TakeOver: XXX, contenders are crowned as old faces finally resurface. Karrion Kross utilizes savage maneuvers to psychologically weaken the WWE NXT Champion.

Karrion Kross Vs. Danny Burch

Grade: A

The first match of the night featured Karrion Kross against Danny Burch. Burch immediately went after his opponent with a barrage of strikes and high flying moves. The momentum continued to swing in both directions as the two utilized their respective moves. Kross would finally submit Burch with the Cross Jacket, notching another victory in his streak.

Keith Lee came out right after the match and Kross quickly retreated. The two made their match official for Takeover: 30 with Scarlett signing the contract. Lee attempted to sign himself before being struck with a fireball and carried out by medical staff.

Drake Maverick Vs Killian Dain

Grade: C

Drake Maverick attempted to avoid Dain before unleashing an assault of his own. Dain quickly regained control and targeted his opponent’s leg. The match would end in a no contest after the Undisputed Era cleared the ring.

Adam Cole would threaten Pat McAfee and challenge him for a showdown the next week.

Tyler Breeze Vs. Santos Escobar

Grade: B

Escobar went after his opponent with a series of knee strikes and took a methodical approach to wearing down Breeze throughout the match. Breeze shifted momentum his way with corner attacks culminating in a superkick. Escobar would use the Phantom Driver to take out Breeze after interference from his cohorts.

Fandango appeared afterward, only to receive an equally severe attack from the group. Isaiah “Swerve” Scott then arrived to settle the score.

Mia Yim Vs. Indi Hartwell

Grade: B

Yim looked to diminish her opponent’s size advantage through attacks to the knee. Hartwell used sleeper holds and headlocks to constrict Yim’s breathing as the latter achieved another momentum swing. Yim achieved victory after a quick transition into an armbar.

Damian Priest Vs. Bronson Reed

Grade: B

Priest and Reed began the match by targeting each other’s limbs. The two quickly picked up the pace down the stretch as neither man was willing to submit. Reed lost control after failing a splash attempt, but rolled into a quick reversal to get the pin.

Aliyah and Mercedes Martinez Vs. Kayden Carter and Kacy Catanzaro

Grade: C

The match went underway as Carter and Catanzaro decimated Aliyah in the corner. She would later take advantage of a quick tag and utilize dynamic chemistry to keep their opponents isolated. Martinez took advantage of the later confusion by executing an air raid siren for the win.

Rhea Ripley would come out after the match to attack Martinez, but was quickly overwhelmed until Shotzi Blackheart evened the odds.

Velveteen Dream Vs. Cameron Grimes Vs. Kushida

Grade: B

Kushida and Grimes attempted to gang up on the returning Velveteen Dream as he went after his opponents. Grimes initially maintained full control of the match by using double team maneuvers. He would ultimately win the contest after stealing a quick pin from Kushida.

After the match, Dream attacked Kushida out of frustration. He would come face to face with Finn Balor to set up their next encounter.
