WWE SummerSlam 2020: 3 reasons why Dominik Mysterio should win

Dominik needs to avenge his father and stand up for his family.

Dominik has to win at SummerSlam because he has to restore his family’s honor. The Monday Night Messiah has seriously injured Rey Mysterio’s eyes twice now, and each time these injuries have put Rey out of action for months. The last match between Rey and Seth occurred at The Horror Show at WWE Extreme Rules, and ended with Rollins literally ripping Mysterio’s eye from his socket.

After months of assaults, and trying to defend himself and his family, Rey has officially been defeated. Rey may have fumbled the ball in his quest to vanquish the Monday Night Massiah, but now it is Dominik’s time to shine, by swooping in and saving the day. Dominik needs to bring the same intensity that he had when he was beating Rollins and Murphy with kendo sticks, into the ring at WWE SummerSlam 2020, if he has any chance at defeating the Monday Night Messiah.

Dominik must defeat Rollins to bring honor to his family’s name and to seek vengeance for his father, as well as all the other superstars who have fallen victim to the Monday Night Messiah in the past. Some of these wrestlers include Humberto Carrillo, Aleister Black, Ricochet, and the Viking Raiders.

On top of seeking to avenge his father, Dominik is also a third-generation wrestler, and needs to keep the family legacy alive. This all starts with defeating Seth Rollins at SummerSlam. Once Dominik comes out victorious, he will not only be starting off the record books right with his first official match being a pinfall victory (hopefully with a clean finish), but he will also successfully have defended his father and family honor.
