WWE SummerSlam 2020 Predictions: Alexa Bliss and Asuka create a new future

Mandy Rose vs Sonya Deville in a Hair vs Hair match
This is one feud that’s caught the imagination of fans in a lot of different ways. Rose’s connection with Otis has made stars of Otis, Rose and by extension Sonya Deville. Deville has taken her opportunity and grabbed that brass ring with both hands, one foot, and a forklift truck. Nobody is taking that from her.
Hair vs Hair is not an oft used stipulation. This is going to live long in the memory because of that and whoever loses her hair is still going to be on TV reminding people for months or years to come. I know it’s difficult to get a haircut during current times but entering Hair vs Hair is a bit extreme don’t you think?
Sonya Deville has dominated this feud. We’re not talking just a solid winner here. At every opportunity, Sonya Deville has destroyed Mandy Rose. Otis, the current Mr. Money In The Bank, has been rendered obsolete in the face of Sonya Deville looking badass in a suit. Mandy Rose hasn’t fared much better.
Both women will come out of this feud far bigger stars than they had been beforehand. The writing has carried them both forwards at pace but as big as a star as we all now know that Deville is going to be, SummerSlam is the right time for Mandy Rose to finally get one back.
Call it fifty, fifty. Call it hindering Sonya’s Jinder. There are two stars in this feud. It’s time for Mandy Rose to have her moment to shine.
Also, she’s already had a haircut. Who has two haircuts in two weeks? Totally gave the game away.
Prediction: Mandy Rose
Seth Rollins vs Dominik Mysterio in a Street Fight
Dominik Mysterio’s debut match will be against someone who has ripped three eyes out in the past three months. Fatherhood really does change you.
The Street Fight format does not benefit Dominik Mysterio at all. With Rey Mysterio’s return being teased for Raw, he may have some backup but no Aleister Black and potentially no Humberto Carillo really does limit the options against an opponent who has a Buddy Murphy in his corner at all times.
Additionally, Dominik took a real beating on Raw. It was rough. Who knows how he’s feeling going into this one.
There’s a definite question as to how high a chance of victory Dominik should have in this match. At the very least he shouldn’t be winning clean over someone with almost two decades of extra experience. Seth Rollins is unquestionably one of the best in the world, even if Dominik has been trained by Lance Storm and his father Rey. The Street Fight format at least gives them a way out of it.
With Dominik just being introduced this does not sound like a feud about to end, more something about to begin. This isn’t a bad thing though. Seth Rollins has been doing great things for some new stars. He’s helped establish McIntyre as champion, dragged Buddy Murphy and the newly invisible Austin Theory into the spotlight and has recently worked with Dominik, Aleister Black, and Humberto Carillo to put their names on the map. Whether Rey Mysterio returns or not, I don’t think Rollins is done with the family yet.
Prediction: Seth Rollins
