Is Alexa Bliss done with Nikki Cross or Braun Strowman?

Alexa Bliss could have an important role to play at WWE SummerSlam 2020.

While we didn’t get to see Alexa Bliss on the most recent episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Bray Wyatt emerged as the Fiend in an ambulance after being thrown onto the concrete outside the arena by Braun Strowman. And thus, the match has become Falls Count Anywhere at WWE SummerSlam 2020.

So Bliss could play a big role in Wyatt taking the title off Strowman, who seems virtually guaranteed to finally lose the Universal Championship at WWE SummerSlam. Strowman has become a more compelling character since evidently going heel after his loss in the Wyatt Swamp Fight at Extreme Rules, but it’s too little, too late.

There’s speculation about Bliss being aligned with the Fiend, especially after only a delicate touch stopped the Fiend from attacking her again. And then Strowman shoulder pressed Bliss after not reacting to her obvious concern.

Bliss seems to have moved on, sending a cryptic tweet referencing the song “Somebody That I Used to Know” by Goyte and Kimbra.

Alexa Bliss could be talking about two people with this tweet, and both people are former tag partners. The first is Strowman, who attacked her, justifying it by saying she and the Fiend were using her to get to him. And the second is Nikki Cross, who did her best to apologize to Bliss after shoving her following another title match loss to Bayley…and the shove was overshadowed by the Fiend’s first attack to close SmackDown.

Cross actually spoke about Bliss on the episode of SmackDown before SummerSlam, stating that she believes something terrible is about to happen to Bliss. It was an ominous warning from a concerned friend, and Cross is more than legitimately sorry for letting her emotions get the better of her several weeks ago…she is scared for Bliss.

And she should be. Crossing paths with the Fiend changes people, as the Fiend changes whoever he attacks. Seth Rollins, The Miz, and Daniel Bryan were all changed, and, now, so was Strowman. And it was Strowman who told Bliss directly that she’s been changed by the Fiend. Although it doesn’t seem like that, it could be the case at SummerSlam that we find out if Bliss costs Strowman.

It’s so interesting, because Bliss could easily be talking about Strowman being a heel and being someone she used to know but now turning into a monster. But she could also be talking about her past self or even just Cross, as that partnership seems to be over. Then again, who says she’s only talking about one person with this cryptic tweet?

Alexa Bliss doesn’t have a match at the Biggest Party of the Summer, but something is definitely brewing for the “Twisted” WWE superstar.
