WWE SmackDown: 3 burning questions after Roman Reigns joins Paul Heyman

What memories and new stars will we make along the way?

Most of WWE’s ploys to increase the ratings this year have been one-off ideas for shock value or desperate ideas thrown at the wall in case one of those overcooked spaghetti strands sticks to the wall. But putting Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman together is a concerted effort to take viewers on a journey in the next few years.

This storyline is something that can last and lead to some memorable moments. A Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar alliance and feud is one idea that’s easy to envision, but how about Reigns and Heyman working together to help put over someone like Ricochet or Mustafa Ali on Raw as a star of the future?

There’s so much potential for these two men to build new stars or to simply make the kind of moments and great matches at big PPVs that create highlights without having to rely on past stars like Goldberg or the Undertaker. WWE can use their biggest full-time male star and one of wrestling’s most revered creative minds to organically create interest and use that interest to help the next generation of wrestlers.

Heyman wanted to mold new stars on Raw before he was frustratingly fired early, and Reigns is literally the most giving top male star in pro wrestling history. Get ready for some incredible rivalries with the ENTIRE roster and for new stars to be built by the Big Dog.
