If The Hurt Business plans to expand their “empire”  on WWE Raw, as they say, they should begin with the new Tag Team Champs Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler.

Last night on WWE Raw Talk, The Hurt Business discussed possible expansion – and that includes the Women’s Division. The group consisting of Shelton Benjamin, MVP, and current U.S. Champ Bobby Lashley, hinted that growth hasn’t stopped and that getting more champions into the group is  priority.

“Since we’re talking about all titles we have to fit all classes,” Lashley said. “205, Women’s Title, Tag Team Titles, Universal Title, Cross Promotion, Intercontinental title…there’s a lot of people to go after in the WWE.”

MVP added, “No one is safe.”

While their aspirations are high, the question remains who’s first? An obvious choice would be  The Queen of Spades and The Irresistible Force, Nia Jax.  For starters, these ladies can hang with The Hurt Business on both Raw Underground and the main show.  That’s a win because they can truly coexist as a faction, even if Baszler and Jax continue to have their differences. In addition, having those two as members brings The Hurt Business to the PPV main event conversation. Remember, this is in addition to already having the U.S. Title held by Lashley.  Another win is that Jax’s reputation for injuring wrestlers could, if they wanted to, be played into her reasoning for joining. Baszler’s reasoning is simply her character fits, considering her MMA background. Don’t forget  Lashley also competed in MMA and has a professional record of 15-2.

However, there are some folks shooting their shot. In the past 24 hours NXT’s Mia Yim tweeted the following:

Yim seems to be a fan of the faction, with WWE on Fox’s Twitter account posting how Shelton Benjamin is her “favorite superstar”.

However, if The Hurt Business wants to make instant waves, they need to stay on the course of recruiting those who have championships in hand instead of just great prospects. It also gives their tag team more depth other than just being an awkward pairing. This is an announcement that I would love to see happen in Raw Underground during a fight.

The Hurt Business: Who would be a surprise pick?

If I had to cast my lot for a surprise pick I would go with Sasha Banks. The Boss appears to be agitated with Bayley, and with the loss of the Women’s Tag Team Titles, this could be the exit she needs to move on. I would be surprised because I would figure The Hurt Business would go after all the champions first, and then those who could pose a threat to their title reigns.

The Hurt Business is looking to expand. That expansion would not only include men, but many women dominating that division as well. Shayna Baszler, Nia Jax and Mia Yim are just three of the names that come to mind. If this group continues to grow, they can dominate the Monday night brand.
