With The Riott Squad having recently found themselves back together, it feels like it’s only a matter of time before they capture the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles. The women’s tag team division is relatively thin on both SmackDown and WWE Raw, especially with consistent teams like The IIconics and Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross going their separate ways, and the inevitable implosion of Sasha Banks and Bayley.

That leaves an opening for new challengers, and the best choice is the pair of Kayden Carter and Kacy Catanzaro from WWE NXT. Whether they decide to dub themselves KC Squared, KC Kacy, Double KC, or Team Ninja, this duo needs to be a fixture of the division moving forward and could do that at the Royal Rumble with a huge championship victory.

While a WWE Draft could shake that up, there’s always the possibility that a pairing from WWE NXT makes a move, which is exactly what could happen if The Undisputed Era decided to make their presence felt on WWE Raw.

While Adam Cole would likely find himself in the Men’s Royal Rumble with his sights on WrestleMania, the veteran duo of Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish could instead put their focus on longtime rivals The Street Profits. If Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins can hold onto their titles all the way to WWE Royal Rumble 2021, it could be some familiar foes that take the titles away from them.

SmackDown Tag Team Championship Match: Heavy Machinery (c) vs. The Viking Raiders

This possibility owes itself to a potential WWE Draft, which could see The Viking Raiders get moved to SmackDown. It would be a good call for a group that has been getting increasingly stale on WWE Raw and could see the duo return to being a terrifying heel tandem ready to wreak havoc on everyone in their path.

Meanwhile, Heavy Machinery should finally capture the SmackDown Tag Team Titles in the coming months. If WWE isn’t going to have Otis cash-in just yet, returning to tag team action with Tucker could give them their first title run and set up this clash of the titans at WWE Royal Rumble 2021.
