WWE Raw Underground was Shane McMahon’s idea, and he spoke a little bit about his vision for the segments.

Shane McMahon is one of WWE‘s biggest daredevil superstar and a member of the McMahon clan that runs the day to day operations in the company. He appeared on this week’s episode of WWE’s podcast ‘After The Bell’ where the host Corey Graves asked him about his time in the WWE, and the reason why he decided to step out and away from the WWE.

The Prodigal Son spoke on the reason why he decided to bring Raw Underground to the show, and if he was a part of the overall process. Graves also made fun of the fact that it is difficult to keep secrets within the WWE, and his excitement about McMahon’s return. Raw Underground is part of the three-hour program that focuses on putting the best talents together, and if the performance of the superstars in the program is anything to go by, it has received mixed reactions.

Shane McMahon said,

"‘Well, it’s a, I think I’m trying different things. It’s a work in progress and a different format. Changing things up of what’s being going on thus far, especially in the third hour of what’s coming up on Raw. It’s a way to showcase new talent, get people more exposure, well, it’s the faster pace you know, more intense. We are short and more intense. Thus far, people are seeming to like it, so, ah, we are rolling it.’"

Shane McMahon responded on the input on the development, and said,

"‘Quite a bit, this goes way back. This is an original concept, this is going back to gladiator times, short matches.’"

The company tried to put in the best people at work, and with the rating seeing a downfall The Master of Coast to Coast was put in charge of this new segment. It is a bit too early to say if the program will work well because we have seen a host of performers show up and perform to perfection.

Dolph Ziggler, Titus O’Neil, and Braun Strowman have been a part of the program while Shayna Baszler, Nia Jax, and various members of the women’s division have showcased their skills on the segment. Braun Strowman vs Dabba Kato happens on this week’s segment of the program on Raw, but will the company keep it going in the same manner, or will Shane McMahon introduce a new championship during the segment?

It seems like Shane McMahon would have some surprises in store for the WWE Universe because Braun Strowman is a former Champion while the company can build a new superstar in Dabba Kato this week.
