WWE: 5 possible feuds for Cedric Alexander

2. Rey Mysterio

This may not be a name you think of immediately, but it makes sense when you think about it. Rey Mysterio is the greatest Cruiserweight of his generation; many would say ever. Alexander is one of the top Cruiserweights since he was in the Cruiserweight Classic. He held the Cruiserweight Championship for 181 days.

A feud between Alexander and Mysterio can showcase old school vs. new school Cruiserweight styles. Alexander is quick on his feet and strikes with his knees and legs. He has a beautiful topé suicida.

Mysterio is renowned for his high-flying moves and of course, The 619. Even at 45, he has proven that he can still go and performs at a very high level. His reported new three year contract shows that WWE still has faith in him and what he can do.

These two could have a fun feud that can prove that Mysterio still has “it” and give Alexander the opportunity to push himself against one of the best.

1. Street Profits

Six months ago, the charismatic duo that is the Street Profits won RAW‘s tag team titles. For the last couple of months, they’ve been locked in a now meaningless feud with Angel Garza and ANDRADE. The feud has long since run its course. This is a testament to both RAW‘s creative team and the lack of tag teams.

This would be the perfect time for Alexander and Benjamin to become a tag team. They could easily mesh their styles to become a formidable tag team. Alexander and Benjamin versus Street Profits would be money.

It would be a fresh story for both the superstars and fans alike. WWE’s tag team needs an injection of life in it because they have handled the tag divisions terribly (both men and women).

Benjamin should have another title run and Alexander should have his first tag team title run. It could also set the Hurt Business up for a run similar to Undisputed Era where all four members hold gold (Lashley could hold the WWE Championship with MVP becoming the US Champion). Of course, each member being champions elevates them to another level and makes them even more legit.

There are so many possibilities for Alexander. With the upcoming draft, he could face so many new opponents. Now is the time for WWE to go all in on pushing Alexander the way he appeared to be going back when Heyman was high on him.

The Age of Alexander is in a new phase.
