Impact Wrestling is about to get a huge boost in star power for one night.

A former WWE superstar and wrestling legend is rumored to make his first appearance outside of the company in his career this Tuesday night for Impact Wrestling.

It was announced earlier this evening via current Impact Wrestling roster member Ethan Page that WWE legend and Hall of Famer, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will be making his Impact Wrestling debut this Tuesday night on AXS TV.

Ken Shamrock asked The Rock on Twitter if he would induct him to the Hall of Fame.

The Rock’s response?

A heartwarming congrats and a “yes”.

And that has everyone, including Ethan Page, buzzing.

The WWE Hall of Famer is currently expected to appear digitally and is listed as a guest speaker, for former WWE Superstar and UFC Heavyweight Champion, Ken Shamrock’s induction into the Impact Wrestling Hall of Fame.

Shamrock and Johnson worked together several times over their WWE careers. Most notably, in a match at WrestleMania 14 for the Intercontinental Title.

The match saw the Rock retain his championship after the officials reversed their decision. This was due to Shamrock’s failure to release his submission hold following Johnson tapping out. His failure to do so cost him the title.

The appearance seems to have been negotiated on and agreed upon when Shamrock tweeted at the Rock asking him to record a message for his induction saying, “After all, I believe my time with you to be my greatest memories in wrestling.”

The induction will take place at the Impact Wrestling studio space that has been utilized to film episodes of their weekly television programming and their Pay Per View events during the pandemic.

Even though he is being inducted into the Hall of Fame, an honor usually reserved for men and women at the end of their wrestling careers, Shamrock shows no signs of slowing down.
